Large, well maintained park with a nice playground, large open areas, and a grand covered shelter with a number of picnic tables and grills available that can be reserved for functions and gatherings. There are also a number of wooded areas with bike trails and a foot bridge connecting it to lindenwood park across the river.
We enjoy Gooseberry on our nightly walks. Also playground is great for our little guy!
Although not well maintained, as far as parks go, I absolutely love how big it is and all the old school equipment. Only 3 swings, none of them normal swings, but there is a rope to climb, tire swing, big playground, sand box, things to climb, a maze, a secret Park and more! There is also a shelter, bathroom, and there is a walking path to the Red River! Truly a place to go to, in regards to parks!
My favorite park. Just wish the volleyball feilds were kept up better. Plus where did all the trees go. Use to be a great place to have a picnic but now not a lot of shady places to seat.
