CON- The place looked shabby. The woodwork was worn. The seats were worn with big tears repaired with tape. The carpet in the hall to the restrooms was dirty and worn. The men's restroom was probably clean but the trash was overflowing. The fluorescent light was mostly burned out and flickering (like a 1950's wharf bar movie). The sink counter was worn down and stained. The caulk around the urinal was aged, cracked and stained yellow. ... yuck.... the used toilet plunger was down for the count, in the corner and needed to be tossed.
Sorry Perkins but you didn't meet expectations.
Love the staff. Always friendly. Bring my kids here for breakfast whenever I get the chance.

PRO- This is Perkins and I know the menu.
We were seated promptly but everything went South from there on. It took nearly an hour to get our meals and many dishes were cool, some cold. One of us was served hash browns that were burned. This is not the first time we have been subject to poor service at the Moorhead, MN Perkins. We have also waited for long periods of time to be served in the past and once were given burned pot pies which we were told, "this is what we have, if you want pot pies this is what you have to eat." No we're sorry, no discount, no nothing but a manager who laughed about the situation. I gave them one star only because I couldn't get out of the apt otherwise.
Called to order food as it's close to my home. They asked if I could hold after they finally picked up. I order here frequently and theres always something. Anyways, they left me on hold for 35 min. After 10 minutes, I figured I'd see how long it would take. Yep, 35 minutes and they never picked back up! I hung up at 35 minutes. Called their competitors, fryin pan across the street. while I was on hold with another phone. Picked up food and was still on hold when I left and fryin pan looked far busier then perkins. Guess I learned my lesson finally. Will no longer eat or order food here. Called later to speak to a manager, was told they were not available and then was hung up on... If you're into horrible customer service, I suggest eating here. If not don't waste your time
I observed the manager training her staff and encouraging them. What a gem... sorry I missed her name, but she is a great manager.
Servers were new, but did a commendable job of keeping us well cared for. 25% tip....
The dining experience was ruined because of a worn out dirty looking interior. It's time for a complete refurbishment. I will probably skip this place next time. There are plenty of clean facilities in the neighborhood.
